Ingredient Breakdown

Pea Protein

Pea protein is a high-quality protein source that’s hypoallergenic and naturally rich in branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) and essential amino acids (EAAs). Pea protein is particularly high in leucine, isoleucine, and valine, which are crucial for maximizing muscle protein synthesis.

Moreover, pea protein contains a good amount of arginine, a precursor to nitric oxide that promotes blood flow. Pea protein is also rich in iron, an essential mineral that’s needed for several bodily functions, most notably, hemoglobin production. Pea protein blends well with liquid and doesn’t have a gritty texture like other plant protein sources.

Rice Protein

Since pea protein is relatively low in the essential amino acid methionine, we use rice protein to make up for it. Similar to pea protein, rice protein is a high-quality protein source that’s hypoallergenic, easily digestible, and fast-absorbing. Even though rice protein is not a complete protein source, it’s rich in essential amino acids, which are required for optimal muscle growth, recovery, and repair. Therefore, combining rice protein with pea protein results in a well-balanced amino acid profile.
