July 24th is National Tequila Day and what better way to celebrate than with a Watermelon Basil Margarita using K-POW Nutrition’s Natural BCAAs! With just a few simple ingredients, you can make your very own margarita that’s equally delicious and refreshing! Just grab a tub of K-POW Natural BCAAs Fruit Punch, a bottle of your favorite tequila, and a few extra ingredients to celebrate National Tequila Day, K-POW style.

4 ounces of watermelon puree (or half a cup)
6-8 ounces of tequila (depends how strong you like them)
4 ounces of your favorite sweetener (i.e. stevia, splenda, monk fruit, etc.)
4 ounces of lime juice
1 scoop of KPOW Nutrition’s Natural BCAA’s (fruit punch flavor)
10-12 basil leaves, divided
1 cup of watermelon wedges for garnish
4 lime wedges to garnish, thinly sliced
First, make the watermelon puree. This can be done by putting a diced watermelon into a blender, and blend until it is a pureed consistency.
Combine your watermelon puree, tequila, agave nectar, lime juice, KPOW’s Natural BCAA’s, and most of the basil leaves into a cocktail shaker. Leave four of the basil leaves out for garnish.
Place ice in your shaker and give it a good shake for approximately thirty seconds.
Grab four margarita glasses, approximately the size of an old-fashioned glass. Fill your cocktail glasses up with ice, and evenly pour the cocktail into each glass.
Garnish with additional basil leaves, watermelon wedge, and a freshly sliced lime wedge.
