Protein Donut Recipe

Raise your hand if you like donuts!

Normally these would be a cheat day treat, but with our Protein Donut recipe you cam enjoy them any day of the week!

These donuts are made with K-POW Vegan Protein which contains twenty grams of complete protein from pea and brown rice. Not only does this help you add more protein to your diet, but it also has a digestive enzyme blend called DigeSEB®. This enzyme blend helps to improve your digestion and nutrient absorption.

What You'll Need

Donut

  • 1/3 cup of flour
  • 1 scoop of Vegan Protein (flavor of choice)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/3 cup of almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon of applesauce
  • 1/3 cup of zero calorie sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of sprinkles, optional

Frosting

  • 1 tablespoon of softened cream cheese
  • 1 scoop of Vegan Protein (flavor of choice)
  • 1 tablespoons of almond milk

How To Make Them

Donut

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a small mixing bowl combine the flour and Vegan Protein.
  3. Add the egg, egg whites, milk, applesauce, and sweetener stir ingredients together.
  4. Mix in the baking powder, vanilla, salt, and sprinkles to the batter.
  5. Pour batter into a prepared donut pan and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Frosting

  1. In a small mixing bowl whip cream cheese, Vegan Protein, and milk together until smooth consistency.
  2. After donuts are finished baking and have cooled to room temperature add the frosting on top of them.
  3. Top with additional sprinkles.
  4. Enjoy!

This recipe makes 6 donuts.
