Opposite Day Workout Challenge

Tuesday, January 25th is National Opposite Day!

Let’s celebrate the day with a fun workout challenge! For this workout we will be alternating right and left sides, beginning with upper body and ending with lower body.

Opposite Day Workout Challenge

Warm-up

  • 30 seconds lunge from side to side
  • 30 seconds knee pulls
  • 30 seconds standing oblique crunch
  • 30 seconds squat and reach
  • 20 reps. single-leg deadlift, alternating right and left leg
  • 30 seconds jumping jacks

Round 1 - Upper Body

  • 30 second side plank, right
  • 30 second side plank, left
  • 15 seconds rest
  • 30 second mountain climbers
  • 30 second plank shoulder taps, alternating right and left
  • 15 seconds rest
  • 15 reps. uneven arm hold with arm fly
  • 30 seconds ankle tap push-ups

*Repeat two times*

Round 2 - Lower Body

  • 45 seconds jump squats, alternating legs
  • 45 seconds side lung, left
  • 45 seconds side lung, right
  • 15 seconds rest
  • fire hydrant, right
  • fire hydrant, left
  • 45 seconds leg circles, right
  • 45 seconds leg circles, left
  • 15 seconds rest
  • 15 reps. side plank with alternating leg raise, right
  • 15 reps. side plank with alternating leg raise, left

*Repeat two times*

Cool down

  • 10 mins. of stretching
