GRLPWR is Back and Better Than Ever!

The supplement industry is a rapidly growing market; however, the female hormone dietary supplement category remains to be lagging. That’s why GRLPWR quickly became one of our best-selling products.

So that begs the question of why did we change it? When K-POW decided it was time for a rebrand, we also assessed how we can make the formula even better.

With the expansion in research and development for female health supplements, we discovered that there were several ways that GRLPWR could be improved. Although GRLPWR already performed well, with the new look, our goal was to reformulate it so that it would perform even better.

In case you are unfamiliar with GRLPWR, allow us to introduce you to the supplement that may just change your life! GRLPWR is a dietary supplement that’s designed to optimize your hormone levels.

GRLPWR is primarily focused on balancing out estrogen levels, so that you have more “good” estrogen as opposed to “bad” estrogen. But it also contains ingredients that lower cortisol levels which is your body’s primary stress hormone and support thyroid function.

There’s no denying that hormones play a massive role in how you look, feel, and perform. Balancing out your hormones will help you to reach any health and fitness goal whether you want to get stronger, look leaner, gain muscle, lose fat, or just feel better.

After taking GRLPWR for a few weeks, you should start noticing a boost in energy, mood, performance, and body composition! Now that you know what GRLPWR is about, let’s cover the key differences between GRLPWR V1 and GRLPWR V2!

GRLPWR V1 vs GRLPWR V2: What’s The Difference?

When you first glance at GRLPWR V2, you will quickly notice that it has a completely different look and feel. GRLPWR V2 showcases a more sophisticated, mature, and simplistic design that’s appealing to the eye.

Besides what you can see on the outside, the aspects of GRLPWR that really changed is what’s under the hood – the formula!

No more proprietary blends!

A few years ago, proprietary blends were quite common in the supplement industry. A proprietary blend is when a group of ingredients are listed on the label but the dose of each one is not disclosed. In other words, you have no idea how much of each ingredient is in every serving.

Nowadays, proprietary blends have quickly fallen out of favor because there are more educated consumers that demand to know exactly what they are putting into their body. Since GRLPWR V1 had a proprietary blend, it was one of the main reasons why we decided to reformulate.

A Superior Quality Manufacturing Partner

We want you to trust in our brand so that you can be confident that what you see on the label is exactly what’s in the bottle. The manufacturer of GRLPWR V2 is NSF and cGMP, USDA Organic, Kosher, Halal, EU Health, Health Canada, and GSF 1 certified!

Our manufacturer is focused on superior quality backed up by rigorous in-house testing. Using a manufacturer of this caliber was only made possible by all of you! As K-POW grows we are able to gain access to higher quality manufacturing, ingredients, flavoring systems, and more!

Your supplements are only as good as your contract manufacturer, and we are beyond proud to work with the best in the business to bring you the highest quality supplements on the market.

A New and Improved Formula

Beyond getting rid of the proprietary blend, changing manufacturers, and upgrading the look of GRLPWR we developed a completely new formula that’s going to change the game! With a fully transparent label, you can see exactly what is in each serving of GRLPWR V2, so let’s briefly cover the ingredients!

Here’s what’s included in one serving, or three capsules, of GRLPWR V2:

Iodine (as iodide trituration) - 100 mcg (67% DV)

Iodine is a trace mineral that’s naturally found in some foods such as seaweed, fish, iodized table salts, eggs, and beef liver.1 Consuming enough iodine through diet alone is quite challenging which is why many choose to supplement their iodine intake.

Iodine is essential for optimal thyroid function because it’s a key component of the two main thyroid hormones, thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3).1 Thyroid hormones are primarily responsible for regulating various biochemical processes including protein synthesis, metabolism, and enzymatic reactions.

A low iodine intake can lead to hypothyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid gland does not produce an adequate amount of thyroid hormone. The primary signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism are weight gain, fatigue, cold sensitivity, dry skin, and constipation.

Hypothyroidism is most prevalent in older women. It’s also important to note that during pregnancy, the recommended daily intake of iodine increases from 150 mcg to 200 mcg per day.1 As you can see iodine is crucial for thyroid function, which is the master regulator of metabolism, so we made sure to include it in GRLPWR V2.

Magnesium (as magnesium bisglycinate chelate) - 105mg (25% DV)

Like iodine, magnesium is an essential mineral that’s crucial for thyroid function. However, it’s also a cofactor for more than 300 enzymatic reactions such as blood glucose, blood pressure regulation, protein synthesis, and muscle as well as nerve function.2

Not to mention magnesium is required for energy production, glycolysis, oxidative phosphorylation, development of bone as well as the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and the master antioxidant of glutathione.2

Magnesium is present in several foods including kale, spinach, whole grains, nuts, and seeds. With that said, consuming an adequate amount of magnesium daily is quite difficult for most people with diet alone.

In terms of thyroid function, magnesium is required for the conversion of T4 which is the inactive thyroid hormone into T3 the active thyroid hormone. Therefore, when magnesium levels are low the thyroid does not function properly.

Every serving of GRLPWR contains 105 milligrams (25% DV) of magnesium, as magnesium bisglycinate chelate, which is the most bioavailable form. In other words, your body is better able to absorb and utilize this form of magnesium rather than excreting it.

Olive Leaf Extract (std. to Oleuropein 20%) - 500mg

Olive leaf extract, also known as Olea europaea, comes from one of the oldest species of trees in the Mediterranean region.3 Olive oil is derived from the fruits of the olive leaf tree and is a major component of the Mediterranean diet, which is one of the healthiest diets that exists.

Research suggests that olive oil and its constituents, may have preventative effects against various health conditions including cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.3

Olive leaf constituents also have strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which are advantageous for a variety of health conditions. It seems that the monounsaturated fatty acids and polyphenols, including oleuropein, are the primary components that provide these health benefits.3

Instead of consuming large amounts of olive oil daily, you can also supplement with olive leaf extract to supply your body with these beneficial polyphenols. It turns out that oleuropein is the most effective bioactive constituent, so that’s what you want to look for when supplementing with olive leaf extract.3

Although supplementing with olive leaf extract is beneficial for men and women, it’s especially beneficial for women because it targets health conditions that are more prevalent in women such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer, postmenopausal disorders, dysmenorrhea, and osteoporosis.3

Furthermore, other studies suggest that oleuropein may help improve various thyroid conditions most notably hypothyroidism and osteoporosis.3

DIM (Diindolymethane) - 200mg

One of the biggest improvements we made to GRLPWR V2 is dropping the indole-3-carbinol and adding 200 milligrams of diindolymethane (DIM). Indole-3-carbinol is a bioactive chemical that’s naturally found in various foods such cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower. But to get enough indole-3-carbinol to see positive results, you must consume quite a lot of broccoli. Therefore, supplementation is a much better option.

After the body ingests indole-3-carbinol it must convert that compound into DIM to be used for various functions. The benefits of indole-3-carbinol and DIM are relatively the same; however, the body doesn’t always convert the indole-3-carboinol into just DIM.4So instead of using indole-3-carbinol we decided to use a direct source of DIM which is likely more effective, beneficial, and stable.4

The primary reason that DIM was added to this formula is because it’s ability to promote hormone detoxification, increase the ratio of good estrogen to bad estrogen, and support a healthy testosterone to estrogen ratio.4 In other words, DIM is very effective at balancing out your hormone levels which is key for looking, feeling, and performing better especially around your period.

Chaste Tree Berry Extract (std. To 1.5% Agnusides) - 150mg

Chaste tree berry, also known as Vitex agnus-castus, is a plant extract that’s native to the Mediterranean region.5Chaste tree berry extract has a long history of use for the treatment of various medical conditions.5 But it seems to be particularly effective for reducing the symptoms associated with menopause and premenstrual syndrome (PMS).5-6

Chaste tree extract is rich in compounds that are classified as phytoestrogens including agnusides. Phytoestrogens can raise progesterone levels, balance estrogen levels as well as ease symptoms of menopause, PMS, and endometriosis.5-6

Some research even suggested that chaste tree extract has the potential to positively affect the pituitary gland, specifically the part that secretes luteinizing hormone, which increases progesterone levels.6

Regarding PMS, supplementing with chaste tree extract may reduce the following symptoms:

  • Depression
  • Irritability
  • Anxiety
  • Cravings
  • Headaches
  • Breast pain and tenderness
  • Constipation5

It seems that chaste tree extract expresses its effects by reducing the levels of prolactin while balancing other hormones including progesterone and estrogen.5

Regarding menopause, supplementing with chaste tree extract may help improve the following symptoms:

  • Mood
  • Sleep
  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats6

Some other potential benefits of chaste tree extract include reduced inflammation, decreased headaches, improved bone health, and more!5-6

L-Theanine - 100mg

L-theanine is an amino acid that’s naturally found in tea leaves along with caffeine. L-Theanine is known for its ability to promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and lower stress levels without causing drowsiness.7 L-theanine carries out its calming effects by increasing activity of the alpha frequency band within the brain.7

L-theanine is often paired with caffeine in various dietary supplements to take the edge off caffeine. Caffeine and L-theanine are great for increasing focus, alertness, mood, and cognition.7Even though there is no caffeine in GRLPWR V2 you can always use this alongside your morning coffee, BAANG, or Pre-Hype to get your day started on the right track!

L-theanine is also found in several sleep-aids because it can improve sleep quality.7 So, regardless of when you take GRLPWR it will benefit you! We primarily added L-theanine to GRLPWR V2 to help reduce stress levels, increase cognitive function, and improve overall mood.

BioPerine® (Black Pepper Fruit Extract) - 5mg

Last but certainly not least, GRLPWR V2 contains 5 milligrams of black pepper fruit extract standardized to contain 95% piperine, known as BioPerine®. This ingredient has several benefits including increased thermogenesis, decreased pain, enhanced mood, and reduced fatigue.8

However, BioPerine® is primarily used in supplements to increase the absorption and effectiveness of the other ingredients that are present in the product.8 Simply put, BioPerine® will ensure that your body is able to utilize all the ingredients in GRLPWR V2 more efficiently.

BioPerine® carries out its effects through a combination of inhibiting P-glycoprotein and enzymes involved in glucuronidation as well as increasing thermogenesis. The primarily bioactive constituent that’s attributed to black pepper extract’s benefits is piperine. That’s why we use BioPerine® since it contains at least 95% piperine.

Suggested Use

For optimal results, we recommend taking one serving, or three veggie capsules, daily with six to eight ounces of water. You can even split dosing and take one capsule in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

It doesn’t matter what time of the day you take GRLPWR V2 as long as you remember to take it daily! You can expect to see some benefits two to three weeks after starting GRLPWR V2. The effects will be most pronounced around your period.

Summary

It’s crazy to think that we took our best-selling product and made it even better! Furthermore, we took on a category in the supplement industry that’s lagging behind the rest.

One of the reasons why we started K-POW was to empower women through providing them with high-quality dietary supplements that optimize their health, fitness, and well-being. GRLPWR is the epitome of female hormone health.

It contains just the right amount of ingredients to help balance estrogen levels, reduce cortisol, and promote a healthy metabolism. If you are struggling with the ups and downs that comes with having a menstrual cycle, then GRLPWR may be just what you are looking for to help improve the way you look, feel, and perform!

Not only are we’re extremely excited for the rebrand, but we are even more excited for you to get your hands on the new GRLPWR! Pick up a bottle and experience the difference of optimized hormones!
